STEP 1: ATTACH THE STRAP TO THE TV (or FURNITURE)
- Attach the strap to the TV (or furniture) using the strap end with the larger top hole.
- Ensure that the angled bottom section of the strap end is facing outwards from the TV.
- For TV: Locate the VESA mount holes on your TV and select the bolt size that is appropriate (common sizes included in box).
- For Furniture: Use the large wood screw and washer in the top hole and optionally 2 of the smaller wood screws in the remaining fixing holes.
STEP 2: ATTACH THE STRAP TO WALL (OR FURNITURE)
- Attach the other end of the strap (with 3 equal sized holes) to the wall (or furniture).
- Again ensure that the angled section of the strap end is facing outwards.
- Hold the strap end up at a fixing point lower than the end attached to the TV and mark the 3 holes.
- Fixing to the Wall: Ideally fix to wooden wall joists using 3 wood screws (included). If not then you may need to drill holes and install the appropriate screw anchor for your wall type (not included).
- Fixing to Furniture: Fix to wooden furniture using 3 wood screws (included).
STEP 3: SECURE THE SAFETY STRAP
- Position the TV in it’s final location.
- Depress the lever on the metal buckle and pull through any loose strap until it is tight.
- You can use the straps to run any loose cables from the TV.
- Use the velcro cable ties supplied to tidy up any loose strap and cables you have run along the strap.
IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE
- Always use minimum of 2 straps per TV or item of furniture. It is recommended to install 3 straps on heavy and tall furniture.
- Effectiveness of safety straps depend on correct installation. Follow the installation instructions carefully, ensure you use the correct screws,screw anchors and tools specific to your situation. Test the straps after installation and regularly to ensure they are secure.
- Installation of safety straps does not substitute the need for adult supervision. Never let children play with, or climb on a TV or furniture.
